Am I a victim of ID fraud?

Hi there,

I received a letter from CitiCard last week asking for ID & address proof before they processed my card application. The strange thing is I havent applied for a credit card in the last 6 months!

The first thing I did is to use the Citicard reply envelop to post back telling them I had not applied fro any card and the application was a fraud. Then I get a Experian credit report. Sure enough CitiCard did perform a credit search on me on 11 Jan 2008.

The tell tales sign was I just moved from an old accomadation to a new one last Sept, the fraud application was based on my old address.

Just wondered are there anything else that I should do to prevent this from happening?

thanks.
