Budgeting Backwards

My accountant has asked me to go back two years and compile my own set of accounts, all expenditure against income, to help find out why I'm constantly overdrawn. He says I spend too much, I reckon he's got my tax code wrong.
I want to do a detailed account. Microsoft Money was OK but only allowed me to tot up details for the current month. Can I use Martin's Excel budgetplanner to go back in time, or I am stuck with starting from scratch?
Thanks in advance...

Provided you have all your statements for the period you want to cover and you fill in your cheque stubs then it should be relatively easy to do a spreadsheet of all your expenditure.

Sounds like a DIY spreadsheet solution to me. Do you have access to online banking? Some banks offer .csv (spreadsheet compatible) versions of statement. This would save a lot of typing...
