I have been reliably informed by a colleague whose son works for EON door to door selling that Eon are going to lower their price in February whilst other companies increase their rates to increase their market share - don't know anymore details but will try to find out more information.

Makes me wonder how expensive they must be in the first place0

Sounds like a door to door salesmans patter to me, cant imagine all the other companies announcing price rises and only one company putting their prices down.Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0

i'd take that news with a pinch of salt. As an E.ON employee we don't get told about price changes until the day that it's announced to the press. It's seen as commercially sensitive news. Even senior managers don't know.
Only the people right at the top know at this moment what they're going to do.0 -
Agree with Dell. I've been a sector management employee for years and this stuff gets announced by a senior board of directors. We get told the day before the press release goes public.
Not wishing to pick on your friends son, but is it possible thats part of the sales line?:rotfl: It's better to live 1 year as a tiger than a lifetime as a worm...but then, whoever heard of a wormskin rug!!!:rotfl:0
