Correct me if I'm wrong, but XP can only utilise a maximum of 2gb of Ram memory. Vista cab take 8 gb I was told. That extra gig of ram running XP may be a waste.

I'm pretty sure the 32-bit versions of XP (which most are) can handle up to 4Gb. 64-bit versions can go a lot higher.

It depends a lot on your motherboard as well.
