Young Person's Card
Please remember that for all journeys made at or before 10am Monday to Friday, a minimum fare applies. If you travel regularly before 10am then a weekly or monthly season ticket may be more appropriate. However, there is no minimum fare in July or August. on Public Holidays and at weekends.
I plan on travelling before 10am from Monday - Friday in July and August. I only travel in zones 1 and 2 on the tube so the current maximium I'd pay per day is £4.80. Does the above text mean even if I start my journey BEFORE 10am the Young Person's card discount will kick in meaning the whole day only costs £3 something for unlimited travel in zones 1 and 2? Where as usually this discount only applies for travel commenced after 10am?
What is counted as travel before 10am? Just using the tube? Or buses too?

The 10am rule applies to National Rail - not the tube. Normal off-peak travelcard times will apply on the tubes and buses - ie 0930 or later is off-peak.
I assume you are using a PAYG Oyster - provided you have registered your YP card on your Oyster card you will get the £3.10 cap - after 0930.0 -
What about during JUly and August - can I have the £3.10 rate if I commence travel BEFORE 9.30am?0
