I received this e-mail in my Lycos inbox this morning :-
"Dear xxxxxxxxxx@lycos.co.uk user,
Your e-mail account was used to send a huge amount of unsolicited spam
messages during the recent week. If you could please take 5-10 minutes
out of your online experience and confirm the attached document so you
will not run into any future problems with the online service.
If you choose to ignore our request, you leave us no choice but to
cancel your membership.
Virtually yours,
Network Administrator Team"
With it was an attachment called "report.log.ex" which I did not open. I suspect this is scam with possibly a worm or virus attached.
Lycos are one of the worst people to get hold of (I hardly use this account now because of the difficulty of communicating with them). The only communication channel to them seems to be their press office. I have forwarded the suspect e-mail to them but ,as yet, haven't received a reply.
Has anyone else had this e-mail?

Seeing as you've already reported it. Delete the email from your inbox and do the same if you get any more. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?
