Tesco have got Worcester rounfd tabes reduced from £75 to £37.50 and matching chairs down from £50 for a pack of two to £25, excellent quality and flying off the shelves.

I read this post about an hour ago and went straight down to the Tesco Extra in Watford. We picked up 6 chairs. These will go very nicely with the garden table we bought last year from Homebase (another great tip from an MSEr).

The stock was flying out of the store. Fortunately, we have an MPV, so we did not need to pay for home delivery.

We had been thinking about getting either this table for a wee while - but kept putting it off (mainly cos it won't fit in our car!) Very glad we did put it off as we were able to get it today and although we've had to pay £20 for delivery (which is very expensive) it is still a great deal!

Are the chairs wooden? I'm looking for some to go with a wooden table bought on a moneysaving tip from Homebase last year. I've only just unpacked it and decided white plastic chairs don't match!

tip: re delivery charge

take the table out of the box and they should fit in the back of any car (saving the delivery charge)

I don't need the table, just the chairs so won't have any problem fitting them into my car or on roof rack.

The tesco extra website has free delivery at the moment but I can't find the chairs on the website to order them. Any suggestions?

Right just popped down to Tesco Extra in Fforestfach, Swansea and they didn't have any of the round £75 (£37.50) tables there or even a label where they used to be. But they did have 2 of the gateleg drop leaf tables but they were still at £100. However they did have about 6 or 8 pairs of the Worcester hardwood chairs with arms. However the price displayed was still at £50 but on checking the bar code with CS they are in fact £25.

I also checked the finest recliner by hauling a box to one of those price scanner things but thats still at £55!!!

Might pop to more stores when I get back to Portsmouth later.

Have just been to Tesco Galleons Reach, and managed to bag chairs and a table! When I got to the car and opened the table box it was damaged and so had to go in and exchange for another one - so would advise anyone to check them first before carting all the way outside to car to avoid this!.

Also as mentioned in an earlier message, I too was worried about the size of table fitting the car - I only have a Fiesta 1100 (N reg) and had to take the table out of the box but it did fit - hope this is of help to anyone.

There were none of the bigger gate leg tables left that i could see.

Just been down to my local Tesco's in Broughton and they do have the tables (both round and drop leaf) left, no chairs though. However they weren't marked down as being half price. I asked an assistant and she said the offer was for Bank Holiday Monday only.

Shez and Welshblob can you clarify that you went to Tesco's today to buy these?

I am not sure whether the assistant was just fobbing me off. If she is then I will go back down and argue with them as we really need a new table. Also does anyone know if the discount applies to the Parasols as well as these look really nice but are also marked at £40 (base and umbrella).

Any help gratefully received.
