Ex Pat - Credit Card Debt - Help Help

Hi,

Does anyone know if a credit card i obtained in the UK whilst living there and which I have not used now for nearly 2 years & which I owe £2000. Can I be persued now that I do not live in the UK??

I have offered nominal payments but they refuse and now say that they are taking legal action.

Can anyone help with advice?
Can they take legal action even though I am now no longer a UK resident?

HELP
Thanks x

  • Multi national banks work with multi national debt collectors.
They can and will take legal action - they will eventually take you to court (up to you if you want to defend yourself) and you will have CCJ against your name.

You may not think anything about this now but it will come back to haunt you one day.
