Experian??
Am I the only one that has problems with experian and the company that does their free credit checks?
Many years ago, I applied in good old fashioned writing to Experian for a credit check. Received in the post, all ok, end of story.
About 2 years ago, I thought I would get an update, I think I might have been remortgaging at the time, and thought that I'd just check it out. I applied online this time, they do this one month free business. I remember at the time that for some reason, my application wouldnt go through, it kept telling me that I had already applied and could I go and log on and get my information. When I went to log on, It was telling me that it didnt recognise my details. I then tried to use their phone application, it wouldnt accept my details because I have a flat number and a street number and for some reason, Experian (and many other companies) have problems with difficult addresses(!) and my details wouldnt go through over the phone. So after lots of
frustration and hair pulling, I thought 'oh well', and left it.
Last week Barclays had the nerve to turn me down for a credit card. So I thought I would check out the credit check.
I made the application online, but not only are they telling me that my post code is xyz, when I know, that its abc (and it wont let me correct it because when I do, it just goes back to its own version), it again is telilng me that I need to log on to get the report. So I go and log on, then it tells me that my details are not recognised. So I press the button to say 'forgotten password' and it returns me to the bit where it says, details not recognised.
So, I go to their main website to pay £2 for a report. I apply, takes ages, changes my post code again, then tells me that there is a problem with the service. It has been telling me this for 3 days. I am so frustrated I could cry. The site has no way of contacting them by email, you can only write or phone their stupid transcription phone line to apply.
I will have to wait until tomorrow to phone their 'help line', which I think I remember trying before and getting no where with.
Tell me its not just me, Im so frustrated.
AND stupid Barclays, have not even told me why they wont give me one of their stinking credit cards, they say they posted a letter in the post on 15th January, and I will just have to wait until it arrives (it hasnt) and THEN I can write off to them to find out.
