Tipping a prebooked airport taxi in UK

I am due to travel from Dorset to Heathrow airport next week (skiing hols - yipee!), and have booked a taxi return at a set price of £180.

Can anyone advise on "the right thing to do" with regards to tipping?

Do we tip? In both directions? How much would you suggest?

As a tight !!!!!!!, that should test the swear filter, you tip based on the service received so if the package is th round trip, then tip on your return if your satisfied or not. £10er or 10% would seem fair. On the other hand if you are rich, well ............................:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:




Having thought about that, if you are rich you probabl;y wont bother to tip at all, miserable filter testing !!!!!!!s

I agree with the 'service-based' tip as op - but tip for each leg of the trip seperately coz you might get a different driver for each bit of the journey.

We got caught out like this once & I felt bad for our 'trip up' driver (who was excellent) coz he missed out.
