Can you do only one balance transfer?

If you get a new credit card with, for example, a 0% offer, can you only transfer a balance to it once? Or can you do an initial transfer from your other card, spend some more on that other card and then again transfer it to the new card?

Normally you can do as many BTs as you like as long as you have credit limit available (per company T&C's ie perhaps only 90% of credit limit can be BT'ed) and of course having checked the terms and conditions to make sure the transfer still falls within the 0% offer period.
