If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it (the link takes me to a page with the cheesy Martin pic logo on the left but just that top frame and a vertical grey bar on the right hand side. it's as if something is supposed to load but it doesn't.

    Same here

    Hi

I take it that the Uk call checker is just in development at the moment ?? But can I ask a question (sorry cannot find a similar thread elsewhere - well not with my search phrases anyway).

Why do companies such as Telestunt, Budgetcom, Telesavers, DialAround, Dialwise, Bestminutes etc advertise the ability to call 070 numbers from the Uk at 15 p per minute, but when you try it, you get a message saying " we do not provide this service in this country"

    Am I missing something ???

    Vanda

PS If this is in the wrong place - I'm sorry.

    Hi all,
Is the UK call checker on hold or will it be launched 'officially' soon?
Also, Am I right in saying that if my mobile number (currently with Orange) was previously ported from another network (Voda) then the person calling from the landline phone will pay the Vodaphone cost rather than the Orange cost? Seems wierd to me.
As always, any help is greatly appreciated.

Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.
