Would you credit it? Those stoozing folk are branching out!

The folk from http://www.stoozing.com seem to be branching out from specialist stoozing, where to be fair alot of people have made a lot of money from their expertize, to credit cards in general!

The stoozing site is, of course, "proudly sponsored and supported by" this site, an endorsement that is conspicuous by its absence on the new site. ;)

You never know: Martin Lewis' smiling face might wing its way over there yet. :money: Or there again, it might not! :money:

As an aside Martin's topic this week on Channel Five is snoozing!!!

What are the odds that this will be the final nail in the coffin of snoozing after it reaches a worldwide audience? Will the banks pull the plug?

Yes, I said worldwide, we are talking about Channel Five here! :D

    Hi Calchas

Someone has just pointed out your post to me, so I thought I'd clarify the point you raise about sponsorship. You are correct that Martin/MSE sponsors the stoozing site and we are very appreciative of that support. I think we are in to the third year of that arrangement which means that both sites must find it worthwhile.

The new website was made publicly available last night after some months of effort. We have not discussed sponsorship of it with anyone, including Martin/MSE. We would certainly be very happy to consider any sponsorship offers but have not sought out any. If anyone wants more detail on the site they can find it from the homepage announcement on the stoozing site.

Regarding Stoozing being mentioned on the TV, it won't be the first time that Martin has aired it, so I doubt that it will be the end of stoozing. Besides, only a small proportion of people would ever contemplate stoozing, so it is not a major issue to the lenders. Ask any stoozer about what response they get when they tell their friends about stoozing and it is almost unanimously "Good on you, but I don't know how you can be bothered doing all that!".... which, incidentally, is one of the main reasons we have decided to broaden our horizons into credit cards in general. 99% of the credit card knowledge needed for stoozing is applicable to any credit card user.

    Hello there Clariman

May I sincerely thank you and your colleagues from the snoozing site: you have made me money! Have a beer!

You may have noticed me lurking at the bottom of the page of your site: the only reason I have not contributed is because those nice people from egg deem it inappropriate to issue me with a card!

How can I recompence? Short of sending you a cheque, a few pair of eyes learning about your new venture is the best I can do! ;)

    Regards

    Calchas

Many thanks for your kind words Calchas. I have just enjoyed watching Martin talk about stoozing on his TV programme. I'm glad that he makes the point that it is not suitable for people in debt, nor for those who aren't a bit 'nerdy' when it comes to cards.

One of the most interesting things about the whole stoozing phenomenon has been witnessing the birth of a new word in the English language. As I guess you may know, Stoozing was named after Stooz who runs the stoozing website with me. Shame Martin didn't give us a mention but there you go. ;)
