Transferring my house to joint names

Hi
I have a house in my name and also a buy to let property.
I got married last year and am wanting to transfer the ownership of my buy to let property into joint names. The property currently has a mortgage on it.
What do i need to do to get my wife onto the flat as a joint owner?
do i simply need to contact the mortgage company or do i need to apply elsewhere too?
Does it cost anything to add someone else as a joint owner?

im pretty sure you have to appoint a solicator to transfer of ownership/add a person to deeds .... as well as ask your mortgage lender if its ok !Previous Debt 2007 !
