Speed Camera Detector Advice

Hi guys.
Could anybody recommend a good speed camera detector?
I currently have a GPS PDA with tom tom navigator with all fixed speed camera locations installed but this doesn’t detect any radar type cameras!

There seem to be loads on eBay starting from £30!!! Will any of these do the job? or are they rubbish and not worth the money?
What does it mean by 5 band or 10 band? I assume a 10 band is better then a 5 but could somebody confirm this?

Any help is appreciated
Thanks in advance.
Craig

I think if your looking for something like the device that picks up radar from gatsos and other speed monitoring equipment then the Road angel i've heard is quite good.. but they are expensive.

No doubt some people will post that you should not speed and save your money.. but i won't mention it. :D

P.S. I'm thinking of getting one as i recently got a speeding ticket.. i think they are really hammering overspeeding like in they do in the USA.
    ummm...

    That’s useful, Thanks.

I don’t speed excessively but I do admit to doing maybe 36,37 in a 30zone, its so hard having to constantly keep an eye on your speed. They say people that own speed camera detectors have like 27% less change of having an accident and I believe that!

    Flang,

The driver who knocked down my neighbours boy was only doing 34 in a 30 zone.

After my hubby had held his brains in his skull and stopped the bledding from his neck the boy was lucky to live.

    Paralysed but alive.

Its easy to cut your speed. Right foot off the pedal.
