My aims for this month are to try and get back into ebaying - making all of £5 so far this week but it's a start! Hoping I might get some lovely quidco money back to throw at the debt too and generally spending as little as possible.

    Good luck to everyone. x

right - this month I will try not to go into my overdraft. I do every month as I used to see this as my wage. but had an extra £800 in my wage from overtime in december so am not going to spend this, then when I get paid in Feb use the extra £500 I am expecting to clear it. (£1250 in total)
That would be the first time in 10 years I will be in the black!!!

    woo hoo

(now just need to hide my debit card somewhere I cant find it to avoid thinking "woo hoo £800 in my account - what can I buy?")

    good luck everyone

remember - smile and the whole world smiles with you!!! :D

It is an amazing feeling. I had a £450 Od for 7 years. Everytime i was out at the dancing i would phone phone banking and get another £20 added on to it until they eventually said no.

I got it down to £200 about 2 years ago but last year when i had my LBM and found this site:money: , it was the first thing i paid off.

I still can't get to grips that i don't need to work out the difference between balance, available balance and OD.

Why don't you pay the £800 just now rather than leaving it lying in the account unused. It may cut down on the intrest and takes away the temptation

    well done too :T :T

  • This is a great thread!

    This month I plan to:
    • do as much overtime as possible,
    • take lunch from home into work everyday,
    • pay at least £350 off my credit card,
    • join the £10 a day challenge (I've never done it before so I'll be chuffed if I even make half of it!)
