DFW aims for February....

As most people will be getting paid this week i thought it would be a good idea to list what we aim to do to help clear our debts for the month of February
This can vary from making at least half of the £10 a day challenge
over paying credit cards/loans/other debt by a certain amount
taking on a second job by a certain date
signing up to cash back websites
the list could go on...an on....and on...
I feel that if it's written down here and we all egg one another on we might just make more of an effort to come back at the end of Feb and say we've done it or even excelled our targets for the month
this month i aim to
Pay my extra council tax money to Next
Find a second job where i can work 1 night a week
walk more rather than take the car and save on petrol
Spend no more than £60 on petrol for the full month
list more stuff on ebay
Start going out running at least 2 nights a week
open up an account with the credit union to help towards a new heating system

My sole aim for February is to get to the end of the month and still have some money in my account. May seem a small aim to some, but I haven't been in that enviable position in all 11 of my working years!LBM: 14.01.08 - Debt at 25.04.08: £7420.925.06.10: 3200.00 :T I'm over half way there!!! :j

Well, as I'm still on maternity leave and dont return back to work until feb meaning no pay until march, I cant really do very much. However, I'm going to:
Sell my unwanted bits and bobs to go towards clearing my lloyds loan;
Look for a second job - maybe bar work at the weekends;
Make a bigger effort to go on to slicethepie and try and get at least £50 by the end of feb to go towards loan (earned about £2 so far lol!);
Open up a savings account to store any spare pennies in so that I'm not tempted to spend!
Sure I'll think of some more!LBM - January 2008 ~ debt - [strike]£16,260.00[/strike] £16,90.00 ~ Debt-free date - October 2016! :eek:Official DFW Nerd Club Member No: 842 ~ Proud to be dealing with my debts!! :cool:0 -

Hi there, great thread...
My aim for February is to get my total debt SUB £1000... awaiting a refund for a cancelled trip which should come through any day now and my credit card debt should be completely gone, so that will be a massive help!
It'll be a struggle, but it's worth having a goal and always good to set yourself challenges!
Good luck to everyone!

Hey there; this might sound small but my aim is to make it through Feb without increasing my debt and to stay positive. It looks like Feb is going to be a bumpy ride financially and I may well need every last drop of energy for it (which I should be spending on my health).In a way I can't wait till the next surgery as when I'm in hosipital they won't be able to phone or send letters.
Good luck to all Feb DFW's

Awesome thread
My aims for Feb:
Pay the money normally allocated to Council tax to my CC bill
Put some effort into getting myself "click organised" so it's just a routine I can follow
Not pay for anything on plastic - including my debit card
Not withdraw more than £50 a week
Start properly meal planning so I'm making better use of the oven, my storecupboard and balancing my nutrients
Head on down to oldstyle so they can set me on the right path, much as you guys have here
Spend no more than £2 a week on food at the office - and try and make that a once-a-week "sub of the day" treat that I really, truly, enjoy.LBM 21/11/07 Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts. Nerd Number 872 DFD ~07/2009 Stats at payday feb08: overdraft ; Gone CC1: £1,519.63 CC2: £402.15
