If we sell it before 1 May, we will then be paying rent, so if we don't pay the mortgage off til 1 May, we will be paying rent and the mortgage. Though I suppose we will have the proceeds from the flat to keep paying the mortgage til 1 May but obviously the mortage will go up by about £200 due to rate finishing.
I may have answered my own question but I just wanted to make sure. Should we put it on the market now or wait a bit.
Many thanks
A mortgage is a loan secured on property - so you can't just sell and walk off with the money, even for a couple of months....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
Well, we haven't put it on yet, but will be in about 2 weeks. Doing some painting, freshening it up, have decluttered the place as well. Have decided to use an EA, have got one down to a fixed fee, sole Agency, which equates to about 1%, if flat goes for lower end valuation. Rang 10 Solicitors and got various quotes, so will be appointing one soon as I know I need the HIP/EPC at least in the system before I put the flat on the market.
And so the fun begins.....:DA cloudy day is no match for a sunny disposition~ William Arthur Ward ~0 -
Good luck... just to let you know I sold through Housenetwork in November. Their pictures, presentation & floorplans were better than the agent I'd tried with previously. So my Rightmove ad looked fantastic! saved me £700 by using them rather than the agent who were only doing 1%.0
