Price & payment query

I have found a price on a well known internet site. I then phoned another well known company and there price was £170 more but they do offer a price match guarantee.

Anyway they have come back and said the other price on the other co's website is a mistake and they have verified this with the airline.

So they said I have 2 options either try may luck booking with the internet co but that they will more than likely ask for more money further down the line. Or to book with them today with their "100% correct price" albeit 170 quid dearer.

If I do book with cheaper company and they take my money & I get confirmation email can they come back at a later date and say it was a price mistake and make me pay more? (Their website does say prices aren't confirmed until your receive confirmation email).

Any advice greatly appreciated.

The price wasn't for BA flights was it? There has been pricing errors with them this week.

As to whether they can ask for more money later on, it all depends on the terms and conditions given on the website. Even if they can't ask for more money, it is likely that they can cancel the booking within a given timeframe and return the monies paid.

No its not BA. IF you phone the company they quote you the same price except with a £10 per person booking fee on top. According to the Co offering price match thats because the phone agents will be pulling up price from same place as internet booking.

I just am unsure as to whether the price match Company is spinning me a tale as they can't match the price. At the end of the day the flights are coming in about £2100 with the internet co so another £170 on top is to be avoid if poss.
