we have been messed about in the past by previous buyers and now we have 2 buyers. should we ask for a deposit which shows who is serious? we find our life in such limbo because of the situation. thanks for any advice.

No. asking for money up front will put folk off. I think when someone starts to do the searches that means serious.If winter comes, can spring be far behind?

I asked for this,
but if your buyers are in a chain they will be reluctant to do this, as it may be out of their control. I requested this but buyers wanted so many conditions on the tie in agreement that it would have been worthless in the end.
As suggested search,survey show some level of comitement just insist house is on teh market until survey has been booked.0 -
