Hi
I left my soon to be ex wife last year. However we were renting a house together. I informed the landlord I was leaving.
However she is now leaving the house to go somewhere else.
there was a large rental deposit almost 2k. I put this down myself. However I believe I am owed at least half of this as my name was on the inital contract when we rented the house. Can i still get at least half of it back or because I left I therefore forfeited my rent deposit?
Thanks for any helpo

As far as i can see this money forms part of any divorce settlement so it would be between you and your wife to agree on an amicable split. Thats assuming that there are no dilapidations / rent arrears.0
