While we're on the subject, then, I had a pizza base disaster last night - I added waaaay too much water and, after an hour in the bread maker, ended up with a base you could pour!
I salvaged it (eventually) with a couple of extra handfuls of bread flour, some polenta and 10 minutes of battering it into submission with a well-floured rolling pin (there wasn't much rolling involved, believe me!). The final result was pleasantly thin and crunchy but I'm not about to try it again - there was far too much swearing involved while I tried to stop the dough sticking to my hands, the rolling pin and the baking tray! :mad:Back after a very long break!0 -
er - I made meatloaf one night and turned too many pages in recipe book and only put it in the oven for half hour.......turned it out and it was raw in middle!!! mash and gravy was ready ...........sliced it up and fried it quickly and the family didnt even notice!!!!0
