Hello bigbill
I'll move your thread to the 'Motoring & Public Transport' board.
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.

Depending on the type of use a 50cc could be a death trap, is he going to be using it on open national speed limit roads or just around town?0

Thanks for moving.
She will be using it around town only.0 -

As a girl, scooters can be better. You can be protected by that front visor from biting wind. Especially if it's going to/from work and you've got a skirt on.
I did once see a 3-wheeler scooter. Hardly noticed the two wheels at the back as they were quite close together, so the 4rse-end of the scooter was just a tyre-width wider than usual.0 -
Thanks all0

I'd go for a decent make too, please dont get one of the naff chinese copies, you should be able to get a half decent Piaggio zip 50 which would be perfect, also, they can be derestricted later on for an increase in performance / speed.0
