Isn't cost per mile based on both mpg and depreciation (as well as some other factors eg. insurance, road tax etc.)
I see depreciation a long term cost which isn't noticed until the car is sold. On the other hand mpg is relvant for the day to day driving so tends to considered more important as you feel it on the pocket throughout the ownership of the car.If you found my comment helpful, please click the 'Thanks' button below :T0 -
Last year Oct 06-Oct 07 - Including depreciation, fuel, maintenance, tyres and insurance - I worked out it cost me 22p per mile.0
