Credit Card -best for pounds spent

90% of my purchases are done by credit card, currently i am using MBNA for its pluspoints- trouble is there is nothing in catalogue that as yet appeals to me-(and its cheaper buying the item for cash.)
I've decided to use ASDA credit card for fuel as its 2 p off per litre.I'm tempted by Tesco Clubcard credit card - as i like the Clubcard 4x deals - trouble is i'm not a regular shopper at Tesco at all and will only get 1pt for every £4 spent at other non -Tesco places
So any ideas which card out there converts pounds spent into freebies/goodies quickest?
BTW im not into airmiles or hotels or overnight stay travel

    cashback cards
  • as Clapton says, cashback cards will be your best bet.

They range from promotional offers of up to 5% for 3 months to long term offers.

Most of them give cashback on a yearly basis. The only card I know thats monthly is Barlcaycard. At the moment there is one that gives you 1% for supermarket and petrol spend

see the cashback article for more info

    thanks

Cashback cards look to give the best deal but for my situation I use a SkyCard for money off the tv bill.

    1% on all purchases

Your best bet is an Amex @ 5%, then Capital 1 @ 4% for 3 months and then use a 0% for X months card and save the cash @ X% and repay at end of 0% deal
