Credit Card Fraud Help Please

Hello
Someone has somehow managed to get our credit card details from Sainsburys Bank and purchased something from Dell for £680!!!
We have tried ringing bank and dell and have got nowhere. We have now received a letter from Sainsburys saying they are unable to establish whether we have a claim. And also they are unable to help and suggest we contact Dell which has proved hopeless. Basically its sounds like we have been left to sort this out and will be charged for the £680.
Can you please advice what rights we have? On the back of the statements it does say we are not liable if someone uses our card fraudulently but could need confirmation what we have not authorised a transaction which we def haven't.
Please help...

I suggest you write rather than phone. Sainsburys are responsible for refunding you in event of fraud. It ought to be deatailed in your CC agreement, check and quote whatever section it is to them. If you get no joy complain to the Ombudsman."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

Can I suggest that you write and say that you did not make the purchase and refer Sainsbury to article 12.12 of the Banking Code:
If someone else uses your card details without your permission, and your card has not been lost or stolen, you will not have to pay anything.

Ask Dell to confirm the delivery address isn't yours0

I thought Dell wont deliver to a different address to your billing statement?
I had fraud on my card a few months and the lady on the phone told me the fraudsters just keep on trying numbers until they find one that works:eek:
Hope it gets sorted.0
