Thank you to everyone who was talking about nominating my bingo post - I was really touched by that! (Remember, v. hormonal at the moment!). And sorry to hear that some of the sites are starting to cause problems, it would be a shame if this was to be the very end of it. But we'll find something new, won't we guys?!!!
The last few pages seem to have whizzed by - if it's still relevant, Asset was asking about what to do in bingo when you try to withdraw and it threatens to take your bonus away - I still say to ignore it and lose the bonus. The order that it spends the money in your account is such that it will spend your own cash and your winnings first (i.e. the withdrawable funds), then go on to the bonus and then finally the initial free deposit. So if you've got £60 in the account, of which £30 is bonus, and £30 your deposit, if you spend £30 on bingo you're actually spending your own cash - the remaining £30 is non-withdrawable. There's a chance you'll win but that's proper gambling then, which you can do on any site and there are sites with much better chances of winning big than these ones. Hope that explains it!
Asset, also just saw the house swop post - shame it has been shot down as disallowed as it's a great idea. There's bound to be ways around it - don't give up!
Nothing to report for me on the money front - a few bits & bobs but nothing significant enough to try and add up!
So what's going to replace bingo for March then? Thinking caps on folks!0 -
I think you have to have an 'eye' or some knowledge about what sells! Develop a specialism and then go hunting for certain items in boot sales and at auctions. There's always a risk that whatever you are buying to sell will 'go out of fashion' on Ebay, but its something you can build up. If you set yourself a spending limit at boot sales its not too risky. I can usually buy single items at 50p and sell them for at least £2.50, often more, but if you don't sell it at 50p its not too much of a loss, especially if you wait for Ebays cheap listing days.0

Ooh I'm not happy today
I had a mystery shop bagged that would have added £8 to my total. I went and did it and bought the goods they said and asked for the receipt but when I got home they've only charged me for one of the two items I needed. The silly man saw me put both items on the counter and saw me pick them both up - and I saw him pick them up but only one has scanned.
Oh well, rant over. Back to making money :T
Can you not put in your report that this is what happened because Mystery shopping is about being a normal customer and this s what he has done to you "as a normal customer" surely this is good feedback for the company as they are seeing information about someone who is losing them money with their carelessness. This was not your fault so you should still get paid

I have heard quite a few times of people buying obscure degree or educational books cheap from charity shops because they are not the run of the mill books, but then selling them for loads on amazon because people don't expect to find them anywhere but amazon because they are unusual. Does that make sense?May 2015 £10 a day currently £2080 -

There are a lot of educational books of the 'how to draw and paint' variety which just keep selling and selling on Ebay. Some date from the fifties onwards. I find these sort of books in the cardboard boxes under the tables at the weekly 'household' style auctions. They come from house clearances from older people, and the youngsters who may have inherited the houses and contents of their deceased relatives just don't seem to want any books these days - its all computers etc. But lots of older Ebayers seem to collect these same books!
If you do a 'search' on Ebay of 'completed' items you can see what the prices are - the 'sold' prices are very different from stuff that's offered for sale but maybe never sells. If you have an interest in books you can search on the ones you know - and then as Batgirl says. have a look at Amazon and see what they are selling.
If you are interested in buying and selling its a bit more fulfilling than 'daily clicking'. I do daily clicking but its so boring - it all adds up but so slowly - its nice to so something more interesting to balance it!0 -
asset -yea i find the clicking very boring.... i'd rather buy and sell and perhaps develop it into something i could use to support my income in the long term... how do you find out about the household auctions?
batgirl -that does make sense ive been selling my old uni books on amazon and thats where ive made the money so if i could come by some cheap it would probably be good!Aug £10 a day £0/£10000 -
Just an update.
So far £58.10 from ebay, £52 from bingo (but that's to go in my bank yet), 7.50 from shopping economies. I've two things that will sell sitting at 47 and 35# respectively with about 40 watchers eash, So not doing too badly so farSaving to pay the tax man0 -
You can do an internet search on auctions - don't have a current one to send you - but I use the local WEEKLY newspaper and the auctions are usually listed at the back of the property pages - after property auctions you get household auctions. But for websites just google it and you shoudl land in a place where you input your postcode and it brings u a lsit of auctions in your area.0
