Just joined guardian languages theyve got a system where u use a thing a bit like skype to be like a buddy for people learning english and it pay about £5.50 an hour for you receiving calls from learners thru it. I'm waiting for them to contact me to make sure im fluent (maybe i can teach them geordie?) but once i start i'll tell you what its like! fingers crossed!

Better hope it's not a southern assessor! My best friend while at Newcastle university was from Watford, whenever we went into a shop or bar and had to deal with a sales assistant she'd turn to me and say loudly 'was that English? what's she going on about', as though the poor lass wouldn't be able to understand her either! :rotfl:Got to the point where it was easier if I just did all the talking!

Five surveys done for me today, but I'm not counting them until they go in my account. Which hopefully will be next month as I'm going to struggle without bingo, which has made up almost all my winnings this month

Yep went for 4 years (really didn't want to leave so took a MSc too, I love Newcastle). I've had to move out in order to find work last summer, but I'm hoping to move back in a year or so, but if i close my eyes and click my heels together, and chant 'there's no place like home', I can almost get back sooner!

    Hi Jewelz,

The aim of the challenge is to make an extra £10 per day outside of normal income from your job/benefits etc. There are loads of ideas on how to do this, including mystery shopping, paid surveys, bingos (check out pandapaws list for the sites to do this), a second job, selling stuff on ebay/greenmetropolis etc. read through this thread or go have a read of the up your income boards for ideas.

To join the challenge, speak to batgirl, she's a sweetie but I'd advise brining a nice cake for subtle bribery, just in case :rotfl:

  • Well I had a good day today :D at last I feel I'm getting somewhere!
I got a £100 bonus for the show that I did at the week-end:D Really bumping my total up - in fact it is now over my target of £5 a day :D:D:D So I'm not going to stop, I'm going to try really hard, I doubt I'll make £10 a day, so maybe if I aim for £7.... I might make it (£203)
Also made a whole 10p on pigsback!
    Total for today - £100.10
    Grand Total - £152.81 :D

I saw it being mentioned in the chat thing at the side of a game. Only thing is that I just won about £9 and it didnt show up in my account.. I've been told to email them, which I have, but I'm not very confident anymore! :(
