Hi
I had some items sell last night and one of auctions was brought by a 0 bidder which did make me wonder but I gave him the benefit of the doubt as we all have to start somewhere.
After the listing he decided to email me asking for my name and address so he could send me a cheque as his paypal account was at its limit which really annoyed me as I made it quite clear in my auction its paypal only.
It also annoyed me the fact that he didn't ask if it was ok before he decided to bid.
He recons it wont be sorted out till feb so is there anyway I can cancel his bid to stop him leaving possible negative feedback as he would have nothing to lose by getting one back and then offering it to the next highest bidder.

you could wait til february for him to get paypal sorted... it is only 3 days away after all! Or you could make an exception and accept postal order... seeing as you will be going to the post office anywaysI

For what it is worth i would let me know your address, wait for the cheque to arrive AND clear, then send the item.
I know you are niggled and in the right but the hassle of negative feedback on you from this wally is not worth the bother.
My opinion....others might disagree."If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken

OOps sorry should read "I would let him know your address....
Apologies for sloppy posting.......intention was good but brain was in neutral!"If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken

To many fake postal orders for my likeing these days I'm afraid so I don't trust them and no I wont be going to the post office as I was planning to send it dhl who would come and collect it from me at work.
And the trouble is with a cheque as I work days I never go to the bank as I don't have the time and I don't like the hassle and that would take a good 2 days to get here now then I have to go to the bank and then wait 7 for it to clear which to me is a right ball ache as I just want this item gone.
To be fair though and I forgot to mention this I said I would accept a bank transfer which to me was meeting him halfway but as yet hes hasn't got back to me.0 -
i agree with above posts...if you let him pay by cheque it must clear before sending....easier option would be a postal order as it cant bounce and can be cashed while posting the item saving you a trip to the bank with a cheque.
