Hi There
Experiencing some difficulty with attachments.
DH sends quite a few attachments to friends around the world (Excel and Word). Sometimes folk receive them, sometimes they don't. Have had a word with our IT folk at work and they do not seem to think we have a problem with our pc. They reckon it is the settings on other folks' machines.
Yesterday we had a message from friends in Hong Kong that they did not receive attachments sent from our home pc (4 attachments Word/Excel). DH forwarded them to me at work and I then sent them off to HK. They arrived!
Our ISP is Madasafish. Is there anything else that we are missing that could cause attachments being stripped when sent from home? By the way our virus checker is AVG and again my IT blokes say this should not cause a problem!
Your words of wisdom would be appreciated!

1. Some receiving email servers will not allow attachments above a certain size.
I had a problem sending to a Tiscali email address last week where it was bouncing a 4mbyte attachment back to me again and again.
2. Outlook Express setting on receiving computer..
Tools - Options - Security.
"do not allow attachments that could potentially contain a virus"
Make sure this box is NOT ticked on the receiving computer.0
