Valentine's Day pressie ideas?

Hi folks.

That day is fast approaching and I'm unemployed at the mo. Does anyone have any good ideas for an innovative, inexpensive pressie for my blokey?

He's in the forces and just before Xmas I gave up my job and rented out my flat in my home town and moved 170 miles across the country to live with him. :smileyhea

  • Thanks. I think food is probably going to be the way forward! Bang goes the diet, again! A chocolate heart shaped cookie sounds so much more exciting than a salad!!

I have got 2 heart shaped silicone ice cube trays. Going to do choccie treats. Melt some chocolate, let them set, then after, dust some crushed almonds on them. Then wrap them up in cellophane and ribbon, niece and nephew will get any leftovers. :D

  • Hi

Get a nice jar, some strips of paper and a gold pen. Write 365 x I love you or 365 (366 this year!) things that you love about them. Fold the notes up and put in the jar- a note a day!

Costs nothing and always goes down a treat! :D
I started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left.
  • I have found carpet picnics are a great idea. Spread your blanket out, got out loads of great nibbles, put a cd of music you both love. Enjoy!

Going back to the jar idea. How about a jar (could decorate an ordinary jam jar or something with glass pens) containing little notes and promises - things like "cook a meal" "wash your car" "massage" and any other things that you think he might like ;) . You can decide if you want 52 for weekly or 12 for monthly or whatever - but obviously you have to be prepared to do whatever you've written on the note! :D

    That's what I'm planning anyway.....
