Pay as you go car insurance, Good idea?
Options
Hi
I have a small car, and do not do many miles, about 2500-3000 a year, my car is a second car.
Just got my renewal and it has gone up £30!
Going to look at comparisons sites and what I can get through qudico etc later.
But was reading the car insurance articule and was woundering about PAYGO, any one use it?
Also thinking if I do go for it, does that mean I`ll be even worse about using it?
I drive because it makes life easier, not cause I like it. I go to work on the bus as cheaper than paying parking, walk when I can to collect children from school, just over 1/2 a mile each way, as nightmare to park.
Ideas, advise, Thanks

You can't beat the prudential cash back on quidco
http://www.quidco.com/finance/
But phone up your renewals hotline and ask to speak to retentions, tell them you can get a much better offer elsewhere, and ask what they can cut it down to.0 -
We use Pay as you Drive, from Norwich Union. We pay a monthly charge to have the car on the road, and then per mile driven. We don't do a lot of miles, and it works out a lot cheaper than a normal policy.
We drove 490 miles last month, and for that we paid £16. £9.87 was the basic premium, and the rest was for drving 490 miles.
Its definatly worth asking about.0
