whats happened - can I retrieve it?

I had just made a post, gone to post it (was already logged in) got a message to say I must log in, to post, so I did it again, expecting my post to be posted up, it did not post up! infact its GONE! what's happened? can I retrieve it at all? thanks.

if you are lucky you can press the "go back one page" arrow. Better still before you press any button, select all the text and do a control+c to copy it to clipboardGOOGLE it before you ask, you'll often save yourself a lot of time.
