HI.
Following a bit of spring cleaning in the utility room I found a small one inch long tube made of black rubber. It is about as thick as a finger and sealed at one end with a sort of moulded ring.
Any ideas?
Should I be worried it has dropped off something?
Washer, tumble drier and cental heating boiler in there.

Sounds more like a ferrule type foot off a tubular metal piece of furniture or maybe a walking stick?A house isn't a home without a cat.

I have writer's block - I can't begin to tell you about it.
You told me again you preferred handsome men but for me you would make an exception.

Hi,
It turns out the rubber tube is a cover for a vent on the back of the condensing drier.
When you put the cover back on it stops dripping onto the floor.
Which may give you a clue as how I discovered it.
