Anyone got a Y-reg Peugeot 306?
I know this is feeble, but the CD player is driving me spare!
Sometimes it plays when you start the car, but mostly it doesn't and I can't work out how to get it to start! If you turn the key far enough for the electrics to work it plays, but then if you start the engine, half the time it stops!
Aarrggghhhh! Help!!!
Mel.

Though no-one can go back and make a brand-new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand-new ending.

If you turn the ignition to start the car, most of the battery power goes to the starter, so you'll temporarily loose /reduce power to radio/lights/everything else.
Assuming it's the only 'fault' can't you just turn it on after the engine is running?

If only it was that simple! Often when you turn it on, it comes on in the sense that it shows track number and time elapsed of the track, but doesn't actually play. Sometimes, however, it behaves perfectly - oh, and the radio always works!
It's in a good mood at the moment, so I'll just have to hope it continues that way.
Thanks, anyway.
