I have got CiD pops ups! How do I get rid of them?????????? My son downloaded a messenger live update by mistake. I have removed it from add and remove programs, but its still coming up constantly, it has also slowed my pc down.
Thanks for any help at all.

Hi
I too had this problem and as you said it was connected to the MSN update.
When you went in to add/remove did it give you the option to just remove the advertising pop ups (that's probably not the technical name that was given)? Mine was OK after that and my boys still had their MSN but without the infuriating pop ups. However a few months later I did have another problem with pop ups (not so much CiD) and it was the result of a virus (even though I had Norton at the time). Long story short, I had to get my computer chap in to sort-k'ching!0 -

I removed it completely, but still have the pop-ups! :mad:0 -

THANK YOU so much for the help! I downloaded SUPERANTISPYWARE last night and it seems to have cleared the problem. The only problem I had was, when I rebooted after scanning my pc my pc would not start up again, it got as far as windows is loading and then it switch its self off. It did this around five times. Does anyone know why?
