Have just had a message flash up saying that Sun Microsystems recommend I 'download the latest version of Java Suite to take advantage of security and stability improvements'.
Anyone know what this gobbledygook actually means in English?

Security updates for Java. Just say yes/install or update here http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp
If you're getting a message it's because you have Java software already installed and just needs updating. You need it to run programs written in the java language. If you didn't need it presumably it wouldn't have gotten installed in the first place. You don't really need to know any more than that unless you planned on writing in Java yourself (it's a platform independant programming language that doesn't require compiling unlike most programming languages)."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Just to add that many online banking sites use Java so its a good idea to have the latest version for security.0
