Help needed please with Thumbache SMS

I signed up to Thumbache.com to start doing free online text messages. I used to be with 118888.com but they stopped their service.
Anyway, I went to the site, signed up and had to download the Desktop4Free software to use the free SMS with. It worked fine for about 10 days and since then stopped working. Its been about a week now. I just won't connect.
I have contacted them but received no reply.
How do I get this service to resume, its costing my mobile phone more this week.
Anyone finding a similar problem?
