Hi I'm looking to buy a HD video camera, with there being so many available and having researched on the internet. I would like to try one or two out.
My question is regarding the refund policy of various stores.
My understanding is that most shops provide a 14 day full refund guarantee.
Does anyone have any experience of actually buying something and then being able to return it within 14 days?
Does the rules differ in England and Scotland? since I will be going to Scotland and that is where I wish to be doing the filming.
Please advise which shops offered the best money back guarantee.
thank you for your help.

I think there are very few shops that provide any 14 day refund policy. The only come back is the sale of goods act. You have the distance selling regulation where you can view goods purchased online for 7 working days, that doesn't mean to say you can try them out though.
Occasional QVC will allow you to try things out but that's in the minority.0 -
I doubt if you will find what you are looking for. Even Argos exclude camcorders from their 30 day return policy to stop people effectively hiring them for nothing for a special occasion and quite rightly too. You'll just have to do research if you really intend to buy and keep. There are plenty of in depth reviews out there as you already know.0
