Dodgy car windscreen wipers - help!

Options
Hi

Not sure if this is the right place to put this thread...

I have a 2000 Vauxhall Corsa and the wipers are driving me mad. I know if I take it to a garage it'll cost me a packet, I'm a girl AND unemployed so any advice would be gratefully received!

Basically, the wipers are fine when they're on 'fully', but when I put them on intermittent they seem to stop halfway down the screen instead of at the bottom. Any suggestions?
Getting older is inevitable, growing up is optional :rotfl:

  • it the park sensor, basically its a sensor that knows where to stop the wipers. if you mechanically minded you could take it apart and have a look, might just need cleaning up or the motor and sensor replacing

i did it on a peugeot and probably took me about 30 mins to do. If your not sure how to do it get a mate and go along to a scrap yard and practice on their cars

maybe joing a corsa online club and ask there

    Hello no1gymbunny

I'll move your thread to the 'Motoring & Public Transport' board.

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.

They are fairly easy to fit takes about 10 minutes tops. I am using the cheap Wilkos ones less than £2 each. Just make sure which ever ones you get that are the right size. You can also get replacement blades just the rubber bit but they still not cheap if you buy from Halfords

she never asked for new blades.
