I got the U600 as upgrade last year, had the D600 and was going to go for the next model up to that (can't think what it was now) but hubby told me to go for this one as it's more modern!, anyway in respect to your points:

I have a text friend - not someone I have ever met irl but have known for sometime and the phone is always dialing her number when I get a text from her

    the touch screen also freezes

connects to the web easily (couple of bills ago mine was almost £60 where it had connected to web and I didn't know)

Personally, I wish I had stuck to being old-fashioned and got the phone I originally wanted, am a huge lover of Samsung and will change it for another samsung at end of this contract but not an updated version of the U600
You have me worried now as I picked my phone up the other day and it looked like I was connected to the web and I didnt know about it or for how long....bill due soon.
ps I had the d600 before this, that was a much better phone
  • The offer has indeed changed. The price is now £79.99, but it comes with a free Samsung C120. Not quite such a good offer but still not bad.

I went into my local orange shop today to have a play with a real U600, I have to say I think the funny buttons would probably drive my crazy so I think I will stick to my decision an avoid this one. Shame, it really is a looker!

I have had this phone for neqarly a year and it is the WORST phone I have ever had.

It looks great but for usability it is rubbish.

I have to agree - got one as part of a contract, had nothing but trouble - kept freezing, speaker was dodgy, clock kept resetting itself. Eventually got Phones4u to send a new replacement which I stuck on Ebay.

It couldn't have been that bad then, if you carried on using the old one...
Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.
