Double Electrical Socket Problem

Hi

I have a double socket in a bedroom, I have established that one of the switches works but the other is "dead". Is this a simple case of replacing the socket. The non workibg switch seemed a little "gritty" when switching on and off. There has been no activity around the socket except for decorating a about 18 months ago (wallpapering) Any help appreciated.

    yes just replace it.
they have little plastic pieces inside which sometimes break. sometimes you can unscrew the whole assembly and repair it, but not worth the bother most times.
    Get some gorm.
