Visa Scam

Sorry if this has been posted before..I checked but couldn't find anything.

I got my statement in from my Visa card and there was 4 transactions on it that I didn't recognise.

They were for INTERNATIONAL BETAMAX VOIP CREDIT COLOGNE DE INTERNATIONAL USE.

AND

INTERNATIONAL 51P PHONE INC US.

I googled it and its a very well known scam?????? Anyway supposedly they put small amounts on your card so you won't notice...mine totalled about £30....not much but still!

If you find this on your statement it says to cancel the card there and then. They get your details online. First time this has happened to me this way.

Anyway could have been worse I suppose just wanted to warn people!

Just found two fraudulent claims from a few days ago totalling £30 odd. I am VERY !!!!ed off as this is a credit card I have used carefully for 13 years. How do they do this? What should I do? Who should I tell?

Have cancelled credit card but cannot speak to their security until tomorrow at 8am.

Why?? There's no need to cancel as you simply dispute with the cc and they sort it out [which might involve sending you a new card].

which means they will cancel the card and give you a new one!!
