How can I create a CD with music tracks and word files ?

Hi I am a dance teacher and I am running a course in the very near future. At the end of the course I want to hand out a cd that contains my lesson plans and the music tracks I have used. ( Copyright is not an issue here)
Can I do this or do I need a cd for each different format?
Can I mix music and word duccuments?
If it's possible how do I do it?


Secondly I have been using Magix audio Cleaning Lab 2004 to import music from cds to cut and add track markers to. This is a fab program , worked fantastically well on windows 98 but I can't import cds using my New computer that runs on XP. I have tried everything poss including lenghthy emails back and forth to their technical support team, but still no luck.
What I am hopingh for is a free downloadable program that will allow me to import cd tracks cut/splice and add track markers....any ideas??

1) What CD burning software is installed? If it's Nero, if you select "Data CD", you'll find an option called "Make Audio and Data CD" which should do exactly what you want. I can't speak for other burning software.

2) I'm not sure if it will do exactly what you want, but Audacity is a brilliant piece of editing software, and it's FREE! You'll find it here.

Hi I am using sonic to record cds. I can't install Nero for some reason...I have tried and tried........
I'll take a look at Audacity

Just a thought - you say that you can't get Magix to work properly, and you also can't install Nero. I'm just wondering whether there is something wrong with your installation of XP, and whether a re-install might help things. But before you go down that road, have you installed Service Pack 2 and all the updates since then?

Hopefully someone else with better technical knowledge than me might be able to help you further.

I thought something similar...... I wondered if Magix only works with Nero. The Nero I have is really old version 5 I thing and probably wont install on XP.
Is there anywhere to get a free copy of Nero to test my theory??
