advice on laundry please

Hi
I'm after a bit of advice please. I've recently ditched my persil non bio and comfort for soapnuts, white vinegar and lavender oil.. it is great and I am happy with it except for the stuff that is heavily stained.. I didn't expect the soapnuts to work on these as they obviously have no stain treatment in them.

I hate vanish etc as i don't think it always works and it's expensive and full of chemicals. Can anyone recommend something for my super dirty washes please? I have heard people mention borax, e cover bleach and soda crystals but know nothing about them.

any advice much appreciated.

Thanks
Keely

i always rub the stain with stardrops or washing up liquid then put in the wm with a good dose of washing soda + powder, failing that if its white try soaking in napisan or bleach and then boil it.
proper prior planning prevents !!!!!! poor performance! :p

the ecover stain remover is pretty good - Ive had mine for about a year now and only need to use it when the gloop fails. Also if you can find it superdrug used to do a stain rmoving soap for about a quid - I used to spray the stain with stardrops and then rub with the soap - my superdrug no longer stocks this so I don't know if it's still made or not
I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 2008
