Selling textbooks - how much postage?

Hi everyone - well ive graduated from university and want to sell all my old textbooks I used.
THey're pretty big and weigh on an average about 200grams (0.2kg). How much would the royal mail postage be on something that weight so I can put it up in the auction?

Firstly, Congratulations on graduating.
Have you tried listing them at the university liabrary. It would certainly save on postage.
There is also a sight where many students list their books after finishing. I used last year when looking for my son's books. I found it very good. Some one else will know it too I'm sure
I'm going to have to rack my brains now.If you were going out for a drink go I could be a while. .

Not sure what you're planning, but textbooks tend to do better on amazon than ebay. Good luck!

This is one of the sites I was thinking of. It will give you an idea what people are charging for their books.
I remember someone saying on a previous thread the best time to sell text book is when new students get their book list before they start university.£2 Coins Savings Club 2012 is £4.............................NCFC member No: 00005.........

Well thanks for the advice - ill check out some sites - I just feel comfortable with ebay as I have sold on there before (no offence to amazon) - anyone know any decent sites to sell textbooks which are well known to the general public (such as ebay)?
thanks0 -
Are you sure you weighed them correctly? 200g is very light for any book, and textbooks tend to be a lot heavierMurphy's No More Pies Club #209

I agree, the textbooks I have here tend to be nearer 2kgs so I usually use parcel post via the Post Office.
I do get a nice rush on Amazon at the start of each term, but have also sold a few on ebay where I can see that the same one is already for sale and doing well.
Check out completed listings on Ebay and look at the current sale son Amazon. One word of warning though, some text books will not sell as they need to be current, usually law and stuff like that.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Yeh ebay seems to be the best way to go guys - I checked amazon for one of the textbooks I want to sell and there is way too much "competition" another 30 people are selling the same textbook. I need quick cash from these so I will stick to eBAY - thanks0
