missing registry files

I've lost access to my outlook express I get MSIMN error log created. When i try to update from m/soft,it cannot install missing registry update and gives an error code of 0x8007F302. I cant find this code anywhere,so I cant fix it!!can anyone help?? :eek: Mighty max says registry files missing!!

    Have you tried installing the patch manually?

    Thanks for that!it downloaded but i got no install window?? 3 tries. I ran my Belarc Advisor to audit my browser and i need to reinstall KB887797-OE6SPI 20041112.131144,and KB897715-OE6PI 20050503.210336. I've tried m/soft auto update but it downloads but cant install.Also ,HfNetchk.EXE is missing!
    getting worse!! where did you get download site address for previous error from?? looks like i'll need it. Any more ideas please??? :eek:

    When was the last time the automatic update worked?

    Try the windows update website and take a note of all the critical updates etc that you require and download them all manually.

    HfNetchk.EXE appears to be a program that checks for missing updates.. at what point are you getting this error message?

    Perhaps reinstall Outlook Express.. check Google for the finer details.. its along the lines of altering a registry key which causes Windows to reinstall Outlook.. something like that!? (Easier than it sounds)

    The KB's that you mentioned are just a database of Microsoft Knowledge Base articles - i.e one of the many errors in windows that they're aware of and have actually issued cures/patches/workarounds/frig all.
