You will definitely struggle with Vista. Either invest in more memory or go for a Windows XP-based laptop. Links are a man's best friends.com0

Its 1gb!

Vista home premium has a recommended minimum of 1GB of ram.
The video card built into this laptop uses shared memory, so you can take a portion of that 1GB away, and give it to that.
Bear in mind that 1GB is microsoft's quoted amount, and you really want to have 2GB. Having said that, ram is silly cheap these days. another 1GB would cost you £15 or something.
As for better models, what will you be doing with it, and what's your budget?
They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it0 -

... but enough of the poking fun. For £27.50 more, heres one with twice the memory, twice the hard disk size, (arguably) twice the processor, and 5% back via quidco....

OR, there are another two deals over on www.dmxdimension.com for Dell Vostro 1000s, one for slightly less, one for slightly more that the one you're looking at but with a better processor and twice the memory.

I'm a big fan of the Vostro 1000. I'd highly recommend it.0 -
Thanks!
Will Just Upgrade Memory0
