  • listen - I didnt say they were valid excuses. I am just scared and thats all, and Im being a coward.
I feel like I have climbed to the top diving board and everyone is staring and its put up or shut up time.
I know you are all right. I just wondered if any of you pooped it in the run up.
I feel lame enough in RL. Feel even lamer now.
Don't feel bad, NME. When I was going to court, I couldn't stop shaking, & if you look in my diary here , here , here & here you'll see I spent a lot of time worrying myself silly, not sleeping etc. We all go through it, & you're not weak for feeling the way you do. Just try not to let things overwhelm you. :)

NME that is exactly how I was I was a nervous mess and I burst out crying in relief when I walked out of court just from the tension that I was under in the run up to the hearing.
I can speak confidently of my experiences now but before the big day I really was a mess and we all know that feeling :grouphug:

My excuse was that I was sure we could "trade" our way out of trouble; we'd done it before, we'd do it again. Six months later one of our creditors petitioned for our bankruptcy, so the decision was taken for us. Right up to the point where I got a phone call from our solicitor, confirming we were bankrupt, I was confident that we "could do a deal" and avoid the inevitable.

With the benefit of hindsight, I should have saved ourselves six months of pure purgatory, and "done the deed" a lot earlier, and done it ourselves.

    Hi NME,

I think once you actually get it behind you, you'll forever wonder why you didn't do it sooner; life is way too short not to enjoy each and every day.

The first one in my diary is post #31 here (you'll need to scroll down a bit), & the first one on the BR board is here. If you're going to the Royal Courts of Justice, the volunteer service there were an absolute blessing to me - so kind & friendly, totally without judgement. I've got to run for work now, but you can find the details to contact them on the BR board or on the Royals Courts website. If you can't find them, I'll get them for you later today. :)
