Hi,
We're getting new carpets fitted throughout the house and I'm a bit unsure what material to go for.
The carpet I've fallen in love with is an 80/20 wool mix, but the problem we have is our entrance into the garden is via our living room so the dog is back and forth all the time and given the recent weather seems to like bringing back in muddy paw prints
But I've heard polyprop flattens easy and doesn't look as nice after a while?Would we be better off going with a polyprop carpet or are wool carpets easy to keep clean?
Any help would be great.

You laugh because I'm different - I laugh because you're all the same

The 80/20 wool mix is best for general to heavy domestic use & should keep it's good looks, with regular cleaning if necessary, for years.
I only ever bought one poly carpet & that was many years ago. After a year it looked sad & flat & a bit limp.
If the dog is going out in muddy weather then perhaps you could buy a large dust sheet to protect the carpet during these times? It's what I did in my last house to absorb my cats muddy paw prints when the only door into the garden was in the living room. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0
